WebYou are right that scams are designed to appeal to the victim's greed by offering something with little or no effort. For this reason, the OP's reporting of restaurants overcharging is not really a scam, it's just overcharging. I think a Greek restaurant did this to me. It was nothing like $600 dollars, just a little too high.
